Last night saw the opening of Club To catwalk exhibition at the V&A in London. Documenting the London club scene throughout the 1980's including the aftermath of Punk, the New Romantics, Taboo, Blitz, Goths and Rave's smiley summer of love. The exhibition showcases over 85 outfits by designers such as Vivienne Westwood, Bodymap, John Galliano, Betty Jackson, Katherine Hamnett and Leigh Bowery.
A highlight of the exhibition is a video installation by Jeffrey Hinton showing a mash up of clips from Susanne Bartch's Love Ball/Bodymap's London Fashion week shows/Blitz club.
V & A Club to Catwalk: London Fashion in the 1980s runs from 10th July 2013 to 16th February 2014.
